Issues following update to OS

by jaritadaubenspeck

For over a year I've been using Android TV via Tivo Stream 4K on my Sony TV. Up until yesterday I've been able to cast to my TV from my Chromebook. Also, my Tivo remote controlled volume and muting (among other functions). Yesterday, while watching TV there was an update to the Android TV OS, took a couple of minutes to install. Since then, I cannot cast from my Chromebook and I can't use my remote for volume and muting. I've spent a lot of time in Settings on each device and nothing can be changed back to what it was. Has anyone else had this problem or can anyone suggest a remedy? Thanks in advance.

I have a similar issue, my androidTV got updated and now I have a new UI. Since then I can't cast anything to my TV. Got youtube to work by pairing it using the code but nothing else work.

I had an non-OSupdate issue with casting on a different AndroidTV device, which I solved by unninstalling chromecast built-in updates from Play Store (button says "unninstall" but it's actually "unninstall updates") and updating to latest version again. Might work.

Forget the network you are connected to on the Roku and reconnect. Do the same on the chrome book. Refreshing the network connection on both devices may allow them to connect again.
