HiSense H6510G, Chromecast w/Google TV, and DolbyVision

Hi! I just got a new 65" H6510G, and I'm trying to use a Chromecast w/Google TV, which is connected to HDMI1. When I use the TV's built-in apps, I get DolbyVision from Netflix, HBO Max, and so on, and when scrolling through e.g. Netflix, programming that has DV available shows as such.

However, when I switch to the CCwGTV, items only show as "HDR," and I do not get DolbyVision displayed on the TV. I have verified that the CCwGTV does support DolbyVision.

Has anyone used a similar combination? If so, did you have to do anything to get DV working?

The file you are playing from your phone, is that a DV file?

I actually just got it to work. What I had to do (all on the CCwGTV):

  1. Go into the advanced display settings and change the resolution to 4K/24Hz
  2. Reboot
  3. Verify that Netflix now shows DV instead of HDR on Our Planet
  4. Go into the advanced display settings and change the resolution back to 4K/60Hz
  5. Reboot
  6. THERE IS NO STEP NUMBER SIX
  7. Verify that Netflix still shows DV
  8. Rejoice!
