Force orientation?

by ghiste

Hi,

I have sideloaded an app (UK allfour streaming) to my TV that get's it's orientation wrong.

The main interface (where you select which video to play) is rotated by 90 degrees which is not ideal for a TV.

When you start playing a video it assumes the proper orientation though...

Is there any way to force orientation on apps that were not built for Androidtv?

Many thanks.

'set orientation' app. On Aptoide TV. If that one doesn't work there's one called 'rotation managerv.

I had the same question. I installed the set orientation app and it helps all4 work better. But annoyingly, when you click on a show, the hero image appears fullscreen and is slightly taller than the screen, so no buttons or scroll appears and there was nothing I could interact with other than the back button. I couldn't work around it so I stopped using the orientation app and just got used to all4 as it was, what with all the swapping around and being unable to work out where the focus was, etc..
