A Legitimate Cable (Pay TV) company that has a certified Android Tv. Here is the SkyCable EVO Box. Some Pay TV providers offered Set Top Boxes with certified Google Android TV. But one caveat is that this box doesn't have Netflix. Has anyone have a Android TV device that doesn't have Netflix?

If it doesn't have the proper WideVine version under the hood, Netflix wont do HD or above anyways even if you side-load it.

Can’t you install the Netflix APK?

In case anyone else is wondering - this is Sky in the Phillipines, https://www.mysky.com.ph/metromanila/products/skycable (rather than Sky in the UK, Germany, Italy or New Zealand).

Since the Sky Evo box has Chromecast built in, I wonder if you could use that from your phone?

If you already has an Smart TV with the Netflix app you shouldn't be worried about, enjoy your new box.

In India I heard of something called airtel xstream with netflix support.

It's fairly Common to not have Netflix - Google ADT devices, Foxtel box - and it's usually because they aren't certified by Netflix so even sideloading the APK doesn't work. Not saying that's the case here, just what I've found.

Google side-load Android TV app and install it yourself.

It won't update itself line a Play Store app, but nearly all of the Netflix updated are server side anyway.

One of my Android TV doesn't have official Netflix app support!! Not sure why but may be Netflix approve every device I guess, as my Android TV has the all required DRM support to run DRM and HD content as per DRM info app.

Then my Dish TV provider gives Android powered STB which is a certified box and it has Netflix support but my dish service provider also lock the box if I don't do any paid tv monthly subscription fees so then I can't use any apps ( free or paid) for streaming which is very annoying and unnecessary restrictions!! Better to get a box not created by pay tv service.

No Netflix on our Aura stb. It's Netflix who won't certify it. Don't miss it......we have Disney and Amazon; both of which cost less.
