Can't find chromecast anymore

so i bought a hisense tv with android tv.

everythings seems fine, working well. Then something happened and chromecast seems to have stopped working. none of my devices can find the tv (network is working just fine)

so i just did a factory reset, and bam, chrome cast working again.

then all of the sudden, android tv seems to have updated. and now chromecast not working again. i feel like the update must be the problem, cuz when i was troubleshooting, i remembered that the first time it stopped, it had updated recently too

not even sure where to start trying to troubleshoot this.

I had an update on my Philips TV recently, and then a Chromecast update appeared in the play store so installed that too. After that, Chromecast wouldn't work. Simply uninstalling the Chromecast update and reinstalling it fixed it.

Looks like the only temporary solution is to remove the update for the Chromecast and turn off automatic updates for the Play Store, then report the issue at the Issue Tracker website explaining in detail the situation.

You can also try this: Settings->Apps->See All Apps->Show system apps->Chromecast built-in, then Clear data
