Does anyone know if there is a way to watch a specific OTA channel via a voice command or routine?
I have an HDHomeRun Quad tuner hooked up to my antenna and due to my proximity to a major city I actually get 40+ broadcast channels. I have the HDHomeRun app installed on the Chromecast and it even supports the Google TV's Live Channels app. I don't really care what app it plays through I just want to create a routine that turns on the TV/Receiver and switch to the Chromecast with Google TV (that I can already do because of my Logitech Harmony Hub) then start playing channel 56.2. At this time I can get to the Chromecast home screen.
I can seem to figure out if it's possible or what the syntax would be to do it though Google Assistant.
When ANY AndroidTV/GoogleTV device is ON, from the home screen and using the Assistant button on the remote control you can say "channel [number]", which opens Live Channels and then it tunes the mentioned channel.
When the TV is OFF you must say using the assistant on your phone or Google Nest device:
"Ok Google turn ON the TV and open Live Channels app"
The above command should turn ON the TV provided you have the HDMI-CEC function set to ON.
