My Android TV's Playstore doesn't have certain apps that I want installed. So I downloaded the apk itself on a USB, connected it to my Android Tv and successfully installed it. It works without issues.
However, there is no shortcut on the home screen and the storage settings does not show the installed app, which makes me unable to uninstall app. How can I solve this problem?
You may have to install a custom launcher like Wolf Launcher to overcome this.
It’s very customisable once installed and you should be able to see all installed apps. Google how to install it, it’s not that difficult
Uninstall from app settings, not storage settings.
Go to the settings then Apps and locate the app in question , if you can t the you might need to install a file explorer with the options of uninstall like Es explorer .
You can use adb to uninstall if you know the package name.
I use an app on my android phone called bugjaeger that simplifies adb usage
Install Dashboad from the Play Store. It's an app drawer replacement. It should show anything you sideload.
