If I only use streaming apps like Netflix and Disney +, will I see ANY appreciable difference between CCwGtv and a Shield?

by zorflax

People really hype the shield as the best of the best, and I have been considering getting one. I currently have a CCwGtv and love it. Will there be any different between the two. They are both passing a digital signal via HDMI so I'm not sure what the difference would even be.

As far as I know upscaling works on the shield and not the CwGtv .....that's a reason enough to get the shield.

only if upscaling in your case imo

You'll notice RAM limitations in the form of app reloads when app switching between the shield pro (&2015,17) and the shield tube/ccwgtv

Yes I have both there is a difference the question is will you care and is it worth $150 extra to you. I am completely happy with both, but I would say all things considered the ccwgtv is a better value i.e. I wouldn't be upset if it cost a little more, compared to other $50 android tv devices its a step above.
