my xbr-65x90ch all of a sudden has a woman's voice telling me what channel I'm on, sound level etc. would like to shut it off, anyone willing to share the "How To" with me?

The Talkback or Screen reader feature may have been enabled through the Accessibility Shortcut window. This window appears one time during the initial setup or when you press and hold the MUTE or MUTING button for approximately 3 or more seconds.

The Talkback or Screen reader feature verbally describes the information on your TV to aid in the navigation of the TV menu. When this Accessibility Shortcut is enabled, you can press the MUTE or MUTING button for 3 seconds to quickly turn this feature On or Off . If you don't want to use this feature, the shortcut can be disabled through the TV menu.

Steps to disable the Accessibility Shortcut from the Settings menu

If you don't want to use the Talkback or Screen reader feature, you can disable it in the TV settings.

  1. On the supplied remote control, press the HOME button.
  2. Select 📷 Settings → Accessibility .
  3. Under Services , make sure Talkback and Screen reader are Off .

  1. Turn off the Accessibility shortcut :
    1. Select 📷 Settings → Accessibility → Accessibility shortcut .
    2. Turn off Enable accessibility shortcut .
