All they need is a damn dismiss button . I have customized my Home Screen.
Not looking forward to the Nvidia Shield getting it.
I switched over to using the Apps view instead of the Home one. Absolutely disgusted with Google and Sony for cramming ads into my X800.
Seems they really did overdo that thing. I hope they will tone it down once the UI is everywhere and people get used to it.

No matter what, that home screen message will be there. The only thing you can do is add your channels so it displays rows of your recently watched stuff from your apps. Once you add a couple of things like HBO and Netflix, it'll be pushed to the bottom below your line of sight.
Well, just do what it says: customize your home screen, add rows from your apps and it will be hidden at the bottom of them.
I don't like this new UI at all
