Walmart's awful looking Onn android Tv. Hdmi port on back and power from the front. Remote looks good.

This is a standard Askey design that they used previously for the ADT-3 and Dynalink devices. The device is meant to hide away behind your TV since with a Bluetooth remote you don't need line of sight. It's really no different than the Chromecast design other than the HDMI cable isn't hardwired to the device.

Looks just like every other dongle streaming stick thing.

afavourifyouwill

Shrug. Just put it behind your TV, it’s not like the remote requires a direct line or anything. Why would you want to display it?!

partytime71

The ports are both on the sides and the "onn." is written sideways.

Hide it behind the TV, it doesn't need to be front and center like a console.

derpferd

I really like that remote. Aside from the branded buttons, some really useful functions there

gabstance

Just another low-spec Android TV dongle. They're all practicaly the same — except for the remotes. Would be nice to see a new Android TV launch with better specs in the $75 - $100 range.

White remotes tend to go yellow after a year or two. Disgusting.

MinutesFromTheMall

I don’t understand this influx of white remotes all of a sudden. Who wants that remote to be reflecting back at you while you’re trying to watch TV in a dark room?! Not for me.

DiDgr8

Front and back are arbitrary (even allowing for the embossed name). Just as meaningful to say top and bottom.

At least it looks like it has a USB-C power cable. It obviously needs more power than the USB-A port on your TV can deliver.

briankdfw

I actually like the remote. Wish Others would make others colors than BLACK For remotes.

alexg_7

I like the remote. I want it for my CCWGTV.

pavichokche

I like that remote! Will this device be available in other countries or US only?

sivartk

Looks like they sourced their remote from the same place the 2021 MECOOL KM2 sourced theirs.

The ONN looks like a stripped down version (less ports) than the KM2.

flipside1o1

Have to say I don't get the need to have my TV boxes to be sexy, functional yes but there not IMO anything I show off or care about. Just don't make it garish , noisy or huge and even if you don't hide it it just vanishes as my brain discards it

Echo_Lan

Never bought a TV from Walmart, maybe can choose TV s from brand stores, especially online shopping so popular today.

Uglycrayoncolor

Knowing onn products, it will have a 50% chance of being defective out of the box

pixelstuff

With a box too big to be a dongle like that, I wish they would go ahead and build an ethernet port into it.

EaggRed

Walmart shit

crogs571

Remote is crap until dedicated nav buttons come back and work across all apps. Stupidest idea ever making play/rew/ff a button press and have to use the d-pad to choose. It's just dumb. I think I blame Amazon for starting that.

And we don't need cheaper less featured boxes. We need ones like the Mecool KM2 and Nokia 8000 with actual ports so we don't need dongles to do anything. In the case of the Onn, you only have an otg option which is archaic since they chose an archaic connector.

Should've just stuck with the dynalink as the low end option.

sulylunat

Wow that is awful lol, it blows my mind that a company could make something this bad, but then I realised even a trillion dollar Apple are still running with their crappy magic mouse charging port design

flyptheswitch

I am all about appearance and it does not sit well.

cantwejustplaynice

HDMI one side, power the other... like MOST streaming devices?
