Every time I try to turn WiFi on with the toggle button in the network settings, it just automatically turns it right off before any networks are visible. Did power cycle, then factory data reset, then hard reset, but to no avail. Any suggestions?

Is the time and date set correctly?
Have the same problem with the Sony system. Apparently it’s a known thing. And usually goes away by just restarting the TV.
If this doesn’t solve the problem, contact Sony - they’ve finally acknowledged this extreme inconvenience.
Alternatively, do as another poster said - plug in an Ethernet cable. To be honest the better option - provides better internet connection all around.
MY XBR65X850C did the same thing. I could not fix it so I plugged into Ethernet.
