I’ve got a side loaded app that keeps getting removed by Google I’m assuming. I’ve turned off the verify apps setting under device > security (which I saw on YouTube is how to disable Play Protect) and it’s still happening. Anyway to prevent this from happening in the future? Really hate that it’s able to do this without any warning or user interaction. If I install the app there it means I want it there and accept any risk that comes with it.
The apps are not removed, but just not listed in the App drawer. You can check in Settings< Apps that they will still be listed. For accessing any sideloaded apps you have use a 3rd party launcher. I use Dashboard which can replace the app drawer itself. Try it.
