Apple TV+ on Android RV(TCL)?

by tulioveneno

Is have some way to watch? I’ve bough an iPhone and got it 1 year of Apple TV for free, but I have a TCL and there is no app on play store.

This works for me on a Mi Box.

I used the built-in Apple Airplay for a TCL 6 series (Roku).

If the Apple TV app is not available for your device:

  • try tv.apple.com through a web browser (I got it working with Puffin on Nebula Capsule II, it technically "worked", but the performance issues made it virtually unusable, so YMMV)
  • plug your iPhone to your TV through an HDMI cable
  • buy a stick with Apple TV support (Fire TV Lite, Chromecast w/GTV, Roku)

Best chances are to airplay (if your tv supports that) or get a streaming device that supports airplay or get the Apple TV.

Apple TV only supports 'Google TV' as of now, not 'Android TV' even though their basically the same.

TCL's Roku models have AirPlay, which is one solution, but i don't think their Android TV variants have it. You could try the website, get a Chromecast w/ Google TV or similar device, or hope Apple one day makes an app

Or sideload the Apple TV apk app.

Always buy an external Google TV

OP did you find a way to do this? I tried installing the APK on my TCL. App opens up, easy sign in and navigation, but I hit “play” on anything and it hangs at the 8 second mark. Then it tells me video is unavailable.

Already tried “force quitting” and clearing cache but keep having the same problem at second 8.

I did install the 2.0 apk.
