My mi TV stick remote is missing and I've been using the Android TV app to navigate for the past few months. Unfortunately, a few days ago my wifi have been disconnected from the device and I don't know how. It says wifi not connected. So, I tried restarting my wifi and mi TV stick and also tried making a hotspot with same ssid and password with that of my wifi, still didn't work. Now I can't use the remote app without wifi connection. I even tried pairing the Android TV app via bluetooth but I cannot verify the pairing code on my TV without a remote.
Is there any way I can fix this issue? Thank You
If it will work like a Firestick you can use an OTG cable that plugs into the power port on the stick then into the power cable it has a USB port built into. Then you can plug the dongle from an after market remote into it. Here is the Things you'd need to do it.

That remote works very well. I own one. BTW that OTG cable you can plug a USB hub into that has ethernet port in it.
With all that being said this is if this stick works like the Firestick. Maybe somebody else in here has some knowledge about that as I've not used or know much about the Mi TV stick. But you know another option is to buy a replacement factory remote. That is if you don't want to take this opportunity to upgrade your stick.
