I got the box version for 4 dollars more today. It's supposed to have some pretty bad issues with forced HDR with 4k displays resulting in some messed up colors.
I'm using it on a 1080p display and it's phenomenal, but obviously most people will be using 4k displays so it's not a good option unless they fix the bugs.
All that being said I don't know why anyone would want the stick instead of the box unless they need to hide it behind the tv. I was using a Roku stick before and I don't think I can ever go back to that platform.
Also a lot of people mentioned tv controls not working. It worked fine with my Vizio and my shitty insignia soundbar.
EDIT: So after spending a solid day testing everything I can say that for now you should stay away from the box. The whole device crashes streaming locally from an emby server after watching for 10 minutes or so and requires a hard reset. After that happened I'm now getting random Stuttering on YouTube with 1080p video... The specs are more than capable for the price, but the software is hot garbage. Returning today and buying the Tivo.

There is also the Tivo 4K Streaming dongle that is currently $29 at Walmart and directly from Tivo
