Chromecast with Google TV no longer allowing access to Google Drive?

by baltinerdist

I use File Commander to side load and as of today, I’m getting an error when trying to connect to Google Drive saying “Something went wrong. Sorry, this app is not supported. Please try again later.”

Anyone else experiencing this and any idea how to resolve?

sikter_efendija

I use x-plore and was able to connect to Google Drive. I’m guessing it is a File Commander issue.

Add me to the list, I am experiencing the same on my Chromecast with Google TV however not with my Mi Box S so this is a Chromecast issue. Hopefully someone can figure this one out

I'm having the same problem using xplore starting a few days ago says it's no longer compatible with Google drive

I use FX. Just checked and had no issues connecting and downloading from Google Drive.

I just used File Commander today to access Google Drive from my CCWGTV. No problem at all.

Had the same thing happen to me today with E-xplore and two other file explorer apps.

I've had exactly the same issue for about a week now- the only workaround I've found is to use dropbox instead of GDrive.

I'm having the same issue with both file commander and x-plore. Anyone find a solution?

Same having the same issue with it too; what I did last weekend was factory restore it and that seemed to work for a few days lol

Fx and Xplorer seem tomwork fine on my Android phone to access Google drive but not on Google tv Chromecast. Any ideas. I get the same something went wrong error.is google actively blocking drive access from 3rd part apps on Google tv?

Having the same issue. Tried several different file managers and get the same result. Still works with Mobi drive and Onedrive. Very strange.

PomegranateMinimum96

I was able to access it using MiXplorer. Update: I can only see the files in the Shared folder. None of my other files appear.

Same issue here. No big deal though. My guess is that the app is made by Mobi Systems and they have their own cloud storage, so they want you to use theirs instead of the G drive. However, this does not explain why other cloud drives work in TV File Commander. Maybe Mobi is pissed at Google about something?

I was able to connect to Google Drive using AnExplorer on my Sony Google TV just now.
