Wheres Google Photos App?

by NorthEntertainer1

So i got the new Google chromecast with Google tv and i cannot find the photos app. Isnt there one? How is that even possible? Not looking for 3rd party app. Is there a way to sideload an official app? This should be included in the core os.

Download from APKMirror and sideload it.

Couldn't you just Chromecast from your phone to see your photos?

What are you trying to do, just view them? Or use them as the slideshow for the ambient mode?

Yeah 3rd party stores can get it for ya. Also, you can just bookmark it in your browser and download from there. I might be reaching here but I'm gonna assume you're looking for a collection of walls? A helpful tip is to keep a folder of 'em in your Drive. It is accessible from many File Managers. That's just what I do. Hope it helps!

What is it you want to do with the app? If it's just display pictures like a slideshow picture frame than that can be achieved in the Chromecast settings. If it's to display a specific picture/album etc just press the assistant button and ask it to "show me pictures of..." and it should just work. If you're wanting to edit an album etc, then no it won't work and you'll need to use your phone or a browser.
