Does anyone know if you can launch hey Google assistant command routine through ADB or tasker, or by invoking an activity?
Wanting to see if I can remap buttons on the remote to initiate commands like dimming the lights, or getting the TV to change the HDMI input ( the TV is also connected to Google Assistant)
The only way to input commands in Google assistant is to open the assistant prompt (you can do this using tasker) and then using autoinput to automatically input some commands or tasker say command to speak the commands. Some smart devices have tasker integration or you can simulate inputs to get the required actions without using Google. The button remapping is possible with android tv you jest need the key input Id number then get tasker to run a task on that button press. I wish you could automate Google assistant commands it would make life easier
Sorry..there is another way. You can create a routine in the Google home app and create a shortcut widget then use autoinput to press the widget....job done.
