Service port

by calebgameryt

Our TV (sharp Android 9 LC-58Q620U) has a port on it labeled service port it is identical to an AUX port. does anyone know what the reason for this port is? I keep mistaking as the headphone port since they both are on the bottom the service port is right of the headphone port.

If it's labeled service port, I would make an educated guess and say that it's a service port.

Usually those are for service techs to use I think to update firmware and other tech things.

It will use a 3.5mm to DB9 console cable. It simply allows the factory to use connectors they already have on the production line.
