Any good TV browsers to recommend?

by [deleted]

I've been using Puffin browser for a while on my Chromecast and it gets very annoying whenever that monthly payment thing pops up, I've tried using other browsers but it does not have a built-in adblock feature, is there any browsers that has an adblock feature built in and its free?

  1. JioPagesTV , can be install directly from Google Play Store on Android TV device. Has few pre-installed adlist option & support EME.. Based on Chromium.

  2. TV Bro , need to download & sideload. Only one adlist option & no EME support. Require Webview.

EME: Encrypted Media Extensions

I sideloaded Samsung Internet and it has multiple adblockers and renders perfectly on my tv. You'll need a mouse to navigate properly. I also have Firefox for Android TV (can't remember where I found it), no obvious adblocker but I haven't seen an advert on it yet.

Personally, you can sideload them or just install Jio Pages via Play store (Also has a built-in ad blocker)

Of all the Browsers I have tried till now. I like the recently released Jio pages.. Not sure if this is available outside India, but it's really good. Easy to navigate and has a lot of quick shortcuts. The only drawback I faced is the Account sync which doesn't work.

If you use a keyboard mouse, then Opera should work great. In desktop mode, it almost behaves like a desktop browser. Almost..

It has add blocker and VPN

I use Silk with Blokada, built in mouse control, regular updates never had a problem.
