Google's plan is to transition every OEM to Google TV but it's uncertain if every single device and televisions will be migrated, they projected the transition to be completed in about two years, however, 2021 Sony TV models were the first to jump to the new UI with other brands to follow sometime later this year.
It's just a launcher anyways. You will get same OS either way
Only Sony TVs have "Google TV" for now. We'll just have to wait and see when and in what order other makers get the new interface.
You can also use on the web. Not as good but available.
it deepens on which region you are in, the UK and USA have already got the update.... some other regions you can get the update if you are using a vpn and then you connect to either USA or Uk but as soon as you disconnect out of your vpn it will go back to the old update
Don't buy a TV for Android TV. Buy a TV for the image quality and get an Android TV device separately.
