Where to find hardware specs for Android TV

by lukeamaral

Is there a website or blog post where I can find hardware specs for a certain Android TV like CPU, memory, internal storage, etc. Basically the info given by Aida64.

I am trying to decide between getting the TCL 43S434 or the Hisense 43A68G and I wanted to check the hardware specs for at least these 2 models.

I would worry more about the picture quality between the TVs than the android specs.

I would ignore the specs, aim for the better TV. Image, appearance, sound, and so on. Then get an external android box instead. Manufactures of TV's seem to bail on their software as soon as its on the market.

You will get more updates, support and performance from an external box, and it can be switched out if outdated with minimal fuss.

Most 4K TCL use the Realtek RTD2851 or RTD2851M (with AV1).

For Hisense, it's usually the Mediatek MT5597

This website is mainly for tv boxes, but hope you can find anything for your tv, this guy is self hosting the website and has youtube videos as well probably created some forums also. Good luck

You would be better off to get a dedicated streaming device while you ignore the smart features on the TV. Or better yet if you can find one buy a dumb TV.
