Configure GE universal IR remote to xiaomi mi box 4

by youmeiknow

Never done before, but wondering if anyone can help with steps to configure this remote?

The MiBox 4 doesn't come with an IR sensor, so you have to add/use an USB IR adapter with it to be able to use an IR remote.

Other than that, I usually just follow the instruction manual, and enter the code for the device I want to use, and it usually works.

Sometimes I have to try multiple codes, before I find the right one.

The model number the remote is usually found on a sticker that's in the battery compartment, use that to find the manual on-line if you don't have the one that came with the remote.

The MiBox 3 has a built in IR sensor, the 4 and 4S don't.

If you are using a Chinese domestic 4C or or 4SE, then these come with an IR remote, and I don't think they will work with a RF remote. The 4SE is a 1080p unit.

Hope this made sense and was helpful.

Good luck!
