Recommendation on choosing Mecool KM2, km6 or Chromecast with Google TV.

Hi All,

I am planning to purchase a new Android streaming device for my secondary TV but don't want to spend too much.Looking for something around $100 which can last long. I need your recommendation on it. I already have a 2017 nVidea Shield TV which is I am very happy with. Here are my requirements.

  • Need to play Netflix, Prime video, peacock, Disney plus in 4k/UHD quality.
  • Casual gaming. Ex: Asphalt 8/9.
  • Capability to add more storage.
  • Capability to add third party USB remotes.
  • Frequent software and security updates, bug fixes etc.

Km6 it’s not Netflix certified

GCwGTV needs a USB-C Hub

I'd go with Mecool KM2 as it has ethernet and usb ports. No need to buy additional adaptor

Km2. The km6 can't play netflix HD and the Chromecast doesn't come with the rest of the features you need.

I would say KM6 and just sideload Netflix,(should be easy)the KM6 specs are just so much better than KM2

Since you already mentioned the Nvidia Shield, the CCWGTV, the KM2 and the KM6 I removed them from the below list, you can also add a USB hub to the ones without physical USB ports, hope it helps you to make a good choice:

Pues yo tenía el ccwgtv y es fantástico tiene todo lo que mencionas menos la posibilidad de expandir le la memoria y conectar mandos USB al menos no de forma nativa tienes que comprar un adaptador y todo eso, por eso yo vendí el que tenía y compré el la mecool km2 tiene todo lo que mencionas solo le faltan las actualizaciones regulares ya que por lo que tengo entendido no se actualizan muy seguido las box de mecool y si lo hacen hay que hacerlo de forma manual por medio de un micro SD, cuando compré la km2 le pregunté al tienda oficial mandé mensaje y dijo que si tendría actualizaciónes vía OTA pero en realidad no se a actualizado quien sabe si lo vallan a hacer
