Why is the Chromecast with Google tv recommending me movies for services I don't have? Under customize services, I chose the services I have, yet it's recommeding movies for services I don't..for example,.movies on peacock , which I never selected I have? Can someone explain this to me?

That's how Ads work
It makes sense because Google is an ads company.
You can turn off the functionality in settings but it kind of neuters some features and still doesn't really give you good app access back. Or you can download a 3rd party launcher and remap the home button or use ADB to disable to main launcher. CCwGTV doesn't let you select a default launcher.
I recommend FLauncher (free, open source) or Sideload Channel Launcher 3 (more mature, no grid style, more customization options, $3.50). Use Button Remapper for the home button.
Commercial agreements probably, I have it set to "apps only mode" and still have to see a full screen Disney background...
