I need help transferring files over a wired connection from my android phone to my android tv

by GayAndBae

I don't know if I'm just dumb and can't figure it out but I've spent so long trying.

Basically I want to be able to access the storage on my phone from my tv, as to be able to transfer video files trought my usb to usb type c cable, however nothing seems to work.

I've tried a myriad of file manager apps, went trough every setting menu, tried accessing to tv storage trough my phone but I still didn't find a way to do it.

I reiterate that I do not want to transfer files over wirelessly as mine is pretty slow and it sometimes fails halfway trought uploading a 2gb file.

Is it possible? And if so how do I do it?

I'm not sure why you'd have a problem with wifi on a LAN. I'd expect it to work. But you have two ways with sneaker net.

Use a USB flash drive (something like this https://www.amazon.com/dp/B07TD47NPD/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_apa_glt_fabc_TXQC5GH91XF69G9J18X9 ) and then copy that to the Android TV from the micro SD.

Or use a cable like this https://www.amazon.com/dp/B07BS8SRWH/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_apa_glt_fabc_R0J5M6RH0H2PZBF7N9YP

In both cases I think you will have to set the USB type to MTP.

I use Solid Explorer.

I personally use Folder Sync Pro ( https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=dk.tacit.android.foldersync.full ) on both my phone and Android TV and transfer files to my NAS drive.

In the past I have used Super Beam ( https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.majedev.superbeam ). But haven't used that for a while.

I know you don't want to do it wirelessly but the Send Files to TV app is very quick and stable.
