I have a Sony Bravia 900e. I’m streaming movies on cinema HD app but it’s buffering and impossible to stream 4K or even 1080 at times. Would I benefit from getting a 4K fire stick? I have BT fibre internet.
Cheers

It’s most likely an issue with the cinema hd app. If you wanna be sure stream something on youtube and see if it buffers or drops quality. If it does, check your wifi and try to get ethernet, if your wifi speed is fine only then get a fire tv
An android tv set is not usually up to streaming HD content consistently in my experience. You could try a cat6 ethernet cable or if on WiFi enable 5ghz in your router which would provide a faster connection. Also stopping all running apps and clearing the cache would help at least a bit. A good app to do this is called 'background apps and processes list'. Other posters are correct by recommending real debrid which will provide the most stable links. These will of course only work to their full potential if you have a good consistent set up. I personally use a couple of nvidia shields, one wired and one connected to 5ghz WiFi. With these (set up properly) it's possibly to stream 4k hdr dolby atmos remux files in excess of 80gig without missing a beat. Over the years I have tried probably every apk that has been released but have never found anything better than the combination of kodi and real debrid. So basically if you want this to work properly you'll need to spend a bit. The more you spend in terms of hardware, the more consistent the results.
If you are not using service like real debrid, it's most likely issue with free links you are playing, nothing to do with device.
