Casting no longer available?

I have had my Phillips 50 inch Android TV hooked up for a couple weeks. I have a couple apps on my phone that i was using to cast to the Tv.

I didnt change anything and now i cant cast. How can i fix this? Is it on my phone or my TV? Explain this in the simplest form possible please. I am not tech savvy.

Does the cast button not appear or device not show up in the casting list? Your device is probably unable to find the TV in your wifi network. Usually turning the TV, Mobile and Wifi Router OFF and back ON solves the issue for me.

Your smartphone must be on the same WiFi network as your TV

Mate sure you aren't running a vpn on your phone

Thanks everyone. I disconnected WIFI and that seemed to work.
