Hey everyone, hoping someone can help with this. About a month ago, my wife and I bought a new Sony Bravia X85J after finally managing to get our hands on a PS5. First time owning a smart TV and we’ve been loving it so far. Linked up our Google accounts with no hassle, using my wife’s as the primary.
We use streaming apps for almost everything and those are all working fine. However, we did purchase the new season of Rick and Morty through Google TV so we could watch new episodes right after they premiered. Spent $24.99 to gain access to the whole season.
For the last week, Google TV videos aren’t loading and the search function is not working. I’ll search for something, even using the voice control function on the remote, and it just loads for a few seconds before eventually just returning the screen to normal and doing nothing.
Before this, new episodes of Rick and Morty would not appear in “My episodes” until after being searched. It was really weird, and it’s like Google needed a search done in order to trigger the new episode showing as available. Now, that won’t work at all. It’s been over a week since Ep. 7 premiered and it still isn’t showing in My Episodes. The new one from this week isn’t either.
Has anybody run into this problem? I’ve cleared the caches from the Google apps on my TV, restarted the whole thing, unplugged it and plugged it back in…I’m out of ideas. Really hoping someone here can share some guidance before I have to try contacting Google customer service.
When you purchase an item through Google TV, I think it shows up under different apps. Check out Vudu and https://moviesanywhere.com/explore .
My movies that I purchase show up on all of those apps. I prefer watching from Vudu, instead of Google.
