**Speculation**
I hope a CCWGTV Ultra or a refreshed Shield TV has a 4k UI option. The current CCWGTV only has 2GB of RAM so 4k UI would be a push & forcing a 4k ui on my Shield sometimes makes the home screen refresh when exiting an app not unusable but not ideal either.
I would expect new high end Sony TVs to offer this function first followed by refreshed dedicated boxes like CCWGTV Ultra, Mi box Pro, Shield Pro 2022. Again all speculation so I could (& likely) be completely wrong.
Too early to speculate, final stable release of Android-12 should be released next month, with hopefully the AndroidTV variant released at the same time.
The OEM's that are currently working on adding Android-12 to current existing hardware will still take about 6 months to a year before they release that updated software.
But, for wild speculation all you need to do is keep track of new SoC releases and/or new Arm chips popping up on benchmarks like Geekbench.
Currently, Nvidia has fully functioning 6-core and 8-core custom ARM chips that could be released to the consumer market with Turing GPU cores, which have as much raw power if not more than what you get with the Apple ARM chip that powers latest AppleTV 4k.
Amlogic has a 8-core chip that is identical to the current S922X with an extra 2-cores, a mid-season refresh that just appeared on Geekbench for a small bump in performance before they release the next generation of high-end chipset some time next year. With Amlogic chips practically dominating the whole AndroidTV market, their new chip can be in a variety of higher-end STB's to also be running AndroidTV-12(GoogleTV).
I'm sure we gonna see it on the Chromecast with Google TV …didn't hear anything on 120Hz refresh rate though.
