The Hub has Power-In port? Then try a different power supply, the newer Apple iPhone 20W PD charging brick should work, or a Raspberry Pi4 USB-C 5v 3A power supply. Some people say to use 45W+ PD power supplies, but I think that is overkill.
I had the same problem with the hub I ordered even though some reviewers were saying they used the original power supply. I ended up having to buy a third party power supply to get the hub to work. Chose one that was compatible with the Nintendo Switch so I could use it as a backup for that well.
i used a Samsung phone charger with anker hub worked like a charm.

Stupid device. Any day after another i will say this: MiBox S it definitely better than Google crap.
You have to change the adapter also, since the CCwGTV adapter is only 7.5W
