Just wondering why androidtv on my old Sony tv has way more apps to choose from than my new Sony tv with Google tv. The only way around this is to search for the Play Store in the Google tv search bar. Why is there no Play Store in Google tv? Makes no sense to me.
Play Store is apart of GoogleTV, just with no App "Icon" in the UI, Google wants you to use Voice commands to open it. Can't remember exactly what voice command to open it, maybe try:
"...open App Store"
Say open Play store by voice there is also a way to put the Play Store icon in the app section, I can't remember the method but a Google search can probably find it.

There is play store in Google TV, just no separate icon for it. You have to use voice search (like "open play store")
Regarding the first issue, I guess some developers still haven't made their apps Google TV compatible yet.
