Hi All,
I have a Google TV and a Shield both with the same annoying problem. When I try to play video from YouTube (or any app) the video will start and then immediately pause. It will not let me play video…… I have to restart the device and then it works fine.
Its sending me crazy and I have tried everything… Does anybody have any ideas why this could be impacting the Android TV devices in my home?

It's a long standing bug.
I have the same issue myself with my shield from time To time.
Video will play 1 second and then freeze. Tried clearing cache etc but only a full reboot fixes it.
I reported it as a bug and was apparently fixed but has happened a few times since.
