Was gonna post the same thing re prime on chrome cast with google tv .. works fine chrome casting from phone, and my two fire sticks
Today my Prime Video on the latest Chromecast is looking a bit pixelated at times, like if it was 720 or even less like you say. From Spain btw.
Yes, really poor performance when you launch a show (blocky). Gets better over time but still seems to be low bitrate.
Gbps wired connection on a Shield Pro. No issue with my cable modem connection.
How do you know you're getting 720p, the Android TV Prime Video app doesn't show you the output resolution.

Same here. Prime quality is really bad lately on the Chromecast with GoogleTV app. But I don’t think it’s android only problem. The same happens on PS4. The quality seems better on the Firestick 4K…. :/
720 is not HD?
FYI Primes been sucking on all platforms lately. Used it on Apple TV and LG native all = both are garbage in the last month
