Can anyone get their assistant to play shows from various apps? Whenever i ask my android tv assistant to play show (ex play young Sheldon from prime video) it always says that it can't tell if young Sheldon is on prime video. Has anybody had any luck with it or is this a feature thats not yet working?
What device are you using?
In case of prime video, it's a serious issue. In Android TV; you cannot ask your google assistant to "play [title] from prime video" (it will give the response you mentioned) or search a title in google assistant to see if it's on prime video (e.g in your case, if you search Young Sheldon on google in your TV, it won't say "available on prime video").
In settings> device preferences> google assistant> searchable apps, there's a list of apps that google assistant use to search contents. Unfortunately, prime video doesn't even show up on that list (If you're lucky, it'll show up as disabled, you only have to enable it).
Other streaming apps work well with the assistant afaik
My Hisense U8G opens up the app and brings up the shows home page when I say "Play Superstore on Peacock"
