as the title says, I have a TCL with androidtv os, it's slow and doesn't do as well as my 4 yo roku stick. Any idea if it's possible? The remote's are basically the same.

I ❤️ crossflashing, but I kinda doubt it. Roku OS is pretty locked down and secretive - not open source, not readily rootable (and even during the brief window when it was I don't think it gained you much)
Whereas AndroidTV is software that can be installed on any number of hardware platforms made by almost anyone, Roku is (I believe) a package deal - hardware and software both from Roku.
Correct me if I'm wrong...
