I am at a loss for what to do and looking for support. I’ve got a Bravia x900h and the soft keyboard won’t come up in any apps including stock ones. It used to be that I would go into settings and uninstall updates for gboard, but doing that no longer works for me and still cannot get the keyboard to come up. Does anyone else have this issue or recommendations how to fix it?
One thing to check! Make sure your tv aren't connected to any hardware keyboard (wired or bluetooth)
I had this issue on the MiBox once. I literally ended up having to reset to factory to fix it cause I couldn’t find any other solution. Maybe someone will come along with a better suggestion but thats what did it for me.

Did you recently connect your TV to a keyboard (USB or Bluetooth) ?? That usually causes this problem for me. Fixes itself after reconnection the keyboard and disconnecting again.
Other guesses:-
A software update might have glitched it.
You can use Android Remote app on your phone in the meantime.
IMO a factory reset would surely solve it.
ADB command to show keyboard:
settings put secure show_ime_with_hard_keyboard 1
You must be connected to a bluetooth remote or keyboard. The stock keyboard will no longer show. It's a bug that google refuses to address. You need to install a 3rd party keyboard from the play store.
