Ha!, what else is new?

Xiaomi has always been diligent at releasing updates but they always come buggy, it's a fact, everybody knows it.

Zero issues here, update went fine

Update at your risk... discussion in telegram group https://t.me/miboxsindia are saying that many users devices got bricked after this update.

Updated and it is fast and fluid.

I was one of the lucky ones that this update went smoothly but my ESET Smart TV Security Antivirus is now reporting three things on this new version as Spyware which are:

1. com.mitv.tvhome.michannel as a Potentially unsafe application
2. com.mitv.videoplayer as a Potentially unsafe application
3. com.mitv.tvhome.atv which is actually PatchWall as a Potentially unsafe application

Let's also mention Xiaomi also installed this spyware called Alphonso Recommendations that is in the System Apps that you can disable as well as the other 3 mentioned above.

In case someone needs to un brick their bricked device

Unfortunately I also have a bricked device now, it keeps on looping the MI logo, and can't acces recovery mode..

Mine got bricked too this morning after I tried to update it. I can't get to recovery mode.

I have a update in my mi 4K box. Can i do that ?

Updated a few hours ago, works as fast as always.

Almost shit my pants with the android tv screen, I don't remember seen it before.

Edit: can't remove the mi recommendations now. Edit2: A reboot was needed.

Yes, I spent the whole day and no problem at all at least for now!

mine eventually updated after stalling during downloading. Works but now disconnects from internet after about 7 minutes, even though internet connx is fine. 2-Hour film took 3 hours yesterday. Just about had enough of this box.

Updated and bricked my Mi Box. When I try to boot it just shows the Mi Logo switches off and shows the logo again. An endless loop. Won't boot in recovery mode either. Took every ounce of restraint in me not to smash it to pieces. Just went to the local Mistore and bought a new one. Unfortunately the Google TV stick is not available in my country. I am really angry at Xiaomi right now.
