I have it when i run it, it never finds the devices.

Does this need a specific model or software version on either the tv or phone side?
Also kind of besides the point but recently I got into home assistant and it actually enables you to build universal software remotes for Android TV that rely on ADB over Wifi or LAN rather then Bluetooth and work regardless of region or device.
I don't really understand why Google doesn't build the remote into the Google Home app, if I can do this with my basic programming knowledge and a Raspberry there is no reason why Google shouldn't be able to do this.

It would be nice if Google rolled out the Android Tv Remote Service updates for Chromecast devices by user account instead of the seemingly random manner they do now. I have four devices and can only use this with two that have so far received the update...
