Which internet browser do you use on your tvbox?? :)

I don't use any. Really don't get the point of browsing the internet on my tv when i have a smartphone and tablet.

If i need to download something i do that to my phone or tablet and copy with Solid Explorer to my Shield (for my mi box i use .. send files to tv).

Android TV compatible browser:

  1. JioPagesTV(Chromium) - adblock, can download file & support EME (Widevine)
  2. Odin Browser(Firefox?) - can download file & support EME(Widevine & PlayReady)
  3. TV Bro(Android System Webview) - adblock & can download file

TV Bro (sideloaded). Everything else was either not usable with a remote or required having all the data go through some third party server (WHY)

Worked great for streaming Olympics from Canada with a VPN.

Sideloaded Chrome on Shield.

A sideloaded Microsoft Edge was the only one in which Google Meet sort of worked (with terrible quality, though). sideloaded Firefox for Fire TV was not great, but still okayish as probably the only browser from a major browser vendor that worked with the TV remote. Sadly, it was discontinued and they’re not fixing even the most annoying bugs.

Anyway, it’s not worth it, I stopped using the web on Android TV.

TV Bro but apparently downloading is broken on the Chromecast with Google TV, works great on my other devices however.
