Can't connect bluetooth devices to my Mi TV Stick

I got a JBL 500BT headphone and a JBL Charge 4 and wanted to use any of these on my Mi TV Stick, from Xiaomi. But everytime I tried connecting throught bluetooth, it tries to pair and freezes the Stick. After a moment it goes back to the bluetooth available list and said it failed. Tried restarting my Stick but still no success. Anyone else has this problem or know to solve it?

Had the same problem, factory reseting the stick and reconfiguring it solved it.

Many cheap bluetooth devices need a direct line of sight to work and stay connected. Not sure if that's possible with a stick if it's behind the TV. You could try placing a sheet of foil on the wall behind the tv with shiny side facing out, might help bounce the signal forward.
