I have a shield tv pro 2019, i want to record some moments from 4k movies in kodi and i’ve tried NVIDIA share but it’s only up to 1080p. Does anyone know if it’s possible to screen record in 4k without any additional hardware? Thanks in advance

You can find HDMI record boxes with USB 3.0 ports for a SSD or pen drive on eBay for about 80-100USD. I bought it for that price 3 years ago, so it could be cheaper now.
Ripsaw sells a box with HDMI in and out ports, dont need a PC, but you will need an external USB hard drive to record the stream to. Expect to pay $150-200.
Otherwise you can find $20-40 HDMI/USB dongles, which require a PC to record.
