Yep, Onn UHD, kind of no competition for a super budget device. I made up new class of device. Super budget. Lol
I have both the onn 4k uhd device and the tivo stream 4k. The only 2 reasons I pick the ts4k, is 1.Very easy to use external storage as opposed to onn, which requires adb commands to activate 2. Much smoother operation. And even smoother when you set the animation scales down to 0.5. One downside, the ts4k is very particular with what usb hub you use, compared to the onn, which pretty much doesn't care

Would go for mibox s on a budget. It gets updated and works fine for me. Most other chinese stuff was a bit clunky software, their own strange ui's and bloatware. There is also a cheaper mi stick version. But not sure if it runs 4k and has a bit less memory.
If you can save up buy something good, like the mi box or nvidia. The nivia has ai ulscaling too, making the image quality better. Will last you long. The new google tv stick has also decent perfoemance afaik.

Thanks you, After reading all the comments I have limited my self to the tivo stream 4k, the google chrome cast and the onn 4k. I have gone ahead and got the onn 4k because it was the cheapest and I could pick it up right away.

I recommend the "Chromecast for Google TV" device updates are timely and supported by Google.
I am going to get allot of down votes for this but it is the 100% truth had 2 Nvidia shields a pro and Tube. Both randomly froze needed to be rebooted all the time. Would have to restart all the time as it would slow down and be unusable. I even tried 3rd party launcher everything nothing worked. So I sold both got Google TV chromecast the randomly froze and rebooted as well very frustrating. Took them back got 2 Onn UHD 4K streamers the did the samething. Was looking at Apple TV then the Onn UHD devices got a update listing system hang as a fix. Since the update these have been the most reliable Android TV devices I have had yet and 100% recommend them. Hopefully google can fix the issue as well as Nvidia but I have had both shields for over a year with no fix. And yes Nvidia has replaced both under warranty issue persists I just gave up on them.

What's you budget like? You can get an Nvidia Shield for about $150 or the pro for $200 and it's without a doubt the best TV box you can get on the market.
I've been running the old pro version for several years, it's always updated even several years down the line and it has support for all the best streaming no matter what you like to use.
The latest version has the best AI upscaling for non 4K content to 4K and full support for HDR.
