Android remote app not working...

Hi all, so the recent update has caused my trusty Android TV app to stop working, I've narrowed down the problem to needing to uninstall the update from my Smart TV, only 1 problem... I don't have the original remote the TV came with anymore (broken), hence why I was using the phone application to control the TV.

Are there any solutions to this? My TV does not have manual controls, only an on/off button + volume control.

Use the remote function in "Google TV" app instead. There is also a quick settings tile to have a faster access to it.

I'm not familiar with your device, but once you do the new remote app, check if your system has an auto-update setting in Google Play. If it does, turn that off and then uninstall the update for remote services. That will allow your old remote app to work (as well as the Android Remote app, which is better than the new Google app).
