Laggy Android TV after software update to 8.0.0

I have a Sony Bravia 4K Android TV with software version 8.0.0 running on it. After the latest update, the sound and video have become very laggy and patchy. It's pretty annoying. I tried clearing the cache. I even did a factory reset and the problem still exists.

It feels like Sony or Google have intentionally done this to force people to buy new products.

Anyone know what's causing this and how I can fix it? Can't I revert back the software?

Morning....I know these things vary by model but I've a 2016 xd8005 that's on Android 9...shouldn't you be?

Time to add a device. How old is that TV that it's just now getting Android 8?

From what i have seen Smart TVs are not satisfiable.. One should buy a normal TV and add a device like Chromecast with Google TV to make it smart.. I will do this whenever i have to buy a new TV. Until unless there's no normal TV remain, but also on smart TV, i will add a streaming device, whatsoever
