Please recommend any adblocking software or any DNS based adblocking that actually works fast enough on ATV 11, i have tried adblocking apps but they are being recognised by certain apps and they fail to work. Is there anyway to bypass that instead ? Thanks for your inputs.
Adgaurd or Pihole are both great! They block at the DNS level and are highly customizable.
What ads are you trying to block?
By a raspberry Pi zero, install pi-hole and update your router DNS to point at the raspberry pi. This will block most in app ads, although I don't think YouTube. I use YouTube premium, which adds a nice feature set for the few extra bucks.
DNS66 and if that doesn't work, patch the apps with Lucky Patcher
Use Intra and insert the Adguard DNS server in "custom url settings" of https://dns.adguard.com/dns-query .
Enabled always on VPN in settings.
Done.
This will not remove ads in YouTube. Use SmartTubeNext for that. Although the app is definitely not as reliable as the normal YouTube app, I'd honestly recommend YouTube premium for an ad-free, reliable experience.
Adguard for ease. If you want control, then try nextdns.io
