I don’t know, Askey is a Google partner on the ADT-3, that would be very stupid to monitor users.
The cheap retail price doesn't cover the cost to manufacture the device.
They need to recover money from you in other ways.
Can't tell you much on the subject, other than the fact that Askey is is the manufacturer of the Dynalink box. Maybe this will help you to make sense of things and post again with your findings.
