One more question on setting up this TiVo device. My setup consists of a 27” computer monitor, with devices being connected to a 4x2 matrix switch with audio extractor which is connected to a Yamaha receiver through a mixer. When I set up the Onn. device a few weeks back I accidentally configured it so that the volume controls on the remote controlled not the receiver or monitor but just the audio on the streamer itself which is ideal for my situation. I want to do the same with the TiVo but nothing I’ve tried has worked.
I looked at the Onn. and saw that the TV was set to Samsung, the receiver set to Yamaha and the volume control set to ‘Auto (CEC)’. On the TiVo the HDMI CEC switch is turned on in device preferences and it doesn’t work like I want it; I tried turning that setting to ‘off’ but it didn’t make a difference. The TiVo doesn’t have a volume control setting like the Onn. Am I not able to configure the audio the way I want because of that?
I have not found a way to control the volume output from the TiVo. I don't even think it works with Bluetooth. The onn is a better choice when you are using a monitor.
