Apple TV app audio sync is TERRIBLE on GoogleTV

I recently bought a new TV that has GoogleTV (Sony X90J). I have my receiver connected via eARC and that is working perfectly for all the native TV apps, except Apple TV.

Today I tried playing a movie from my purchase collection in the Apple TV app and there was significant audio sync problems. Every time I paused and played again, the sync would be off by a different amount.

To reiterate, I have not had this issue streaming from Netflix, Disney+, Prime Video, or Youtube.

I'm hoping that this is just a setting problem or something. Can anybody else share if they have had a similar experience with the Apple TV app on GoogleTV?

No issue on Nvidia Shield, also have a sound system via hdmi. Have you tried seeing how it sounds via just the tv speakers?

No issue with the Tivo Stream.

Similar setup and I see visual stuttering. All other apps and devices are fine.

I had a similar issue recently with the a90j - seemed to happen more when launching the content from the main menu. When launching from the Apple TV app, directly, all seemed ok.

I also did make some changes to the lip sync sound options, as I had heard of there occasionally being conflicts with some sound bars.
